Yesterday the three days event Innovation Forum e InnovEXPO, organized by IDC, concluded in Milan .
Once again, Milan has covered the role of capital of Innovation.
The three days event, divided in plenary sessions, collateral ones focused on vertical topics as well as special events, has seen the participation of renowned international gurus and analysts, such as Jacques Attali, Amory Bloch Lovins and Chris Anderson.
Innovation Forum has been particularly focusing on topics regarding:
Innovation as an engine in order to overcome the general crisis and for the re-starting of real economy;
Information technologies seen as a service to human developement as regards quality of life, education, health, welfare, social inclusion;
The Digital city, encompassing smart city, infomobility, smart transportation, culture;
Finance Innovation and Finance for Innovation;
Sustainable growth particularly related to energy, food farming, environment;
Digital Public Administration;
Milan toward a possible Digital Expo;
Particularly attracting to me have been the sessions tackling topics regarding Cloud Computing (Sun Microsystems is offering very interesting services and flexible, adaptable IT architectures), as well as Finance for Innovation (in which Elserino Piol introduced his book: "Per non pedere il futuro. Appunti per l'Innovazione e la Competitività dell'Italia")
Innovation Forum 2009 as a debate trusting in making Innovation supported by digital technologies and by the expertise and know-how of the ICT companies, in order to make the economy start again its pace, but for sure in a definetely changed world !
