Liverpool - European capital of culture 2008

Liverpool - European capital of culture 2008.

December the 14th 2007, I had the opportunity to attend at Feltrinelli bookshop the Official introduction in Italy of Liverpool as european capital of culture;
Visitbritain has organized the event for introducing Liverpool, through Neil Peterson (responsible for International relations and of the Commitee for Welcoming Liverpool 2008).

Moreover, the new single "Liverpool 2008" by Ringo Starr had been introduced in preview and an italian coverband about Beatles had been playing some of the famous songs by the Liverpool band which exercised some important influences on one of my favorite rock band: Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), coming from Birmingham, not so far from Liverpool. (ELO) :o)
